FRONTIERSMEN

ANNUAL CONFERENCE NORTH ISLAND DELEGATES MEET Delegates from all parts of the North Island were in Wanganui over the week-end attending the annual conference of the New Zealand Command of the Legion of Frontiersmen. The conference opened in Harman’s Hall on Saturday morning. Amongst a number of prominent officers connected with the movement were Captain E. D’Esterre, founder of the Legion in New Zealand and organiser for the Southern Hemisphere, Col., C. IL Weston, D. 5.0., Commandant New Zealand Command, Legion of Frontiersmen, and Staff-Major G. F. Bertram, New ZeaHand Headquarters. The delegates who attended thehneeting came from Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Hamilton, Gisborne, Hastings, Masterton, Palmerston North, Haw’era and Wanganui as well as from towns on the Main Trunk linn and in Taranaki.
