HALF A MILLION FEET OF FILM

HAROLD LLOYD’S COMEDY, “SPEEDY.” Close to half a million feet of film, negative and positive, have been used by Harold Lloyd in the filming of ‘•►Speedy,’’ his latest picture which was recently completed at his Hollywood studio. This tremendous film footage has been made necessary by the nature of “Speedy,” which is probably the most difficult film Lloyd has ever attempted to “shoot,” not excepting “Safety Last.” Lloyd has utilised 425.000 feet ol negative film, and has printed 150.000 feet of positive, making altogether nearly five hundred reels. Of this amount, hardly more than 8,000 feet will be actually seen by the public, when Paramount releases “Speedy.” Almost every episode in “Sper.lv” was one which requ ; red the most meticulous reproduction on celluloid, and wa« extremely difficult to obtain.
