MUNICIPAL PICTURES. Silver Buck, the famous white horse who plays an important role in “Hills of Peril,” Fox Films latest release starring Buck Jones, was snowed in during the production of “The Desert Outlaw.” The company was in a mountain canyon at the edge of the San Bernardino desert in California when a snow storm started suddenly and before the company could pack its equipment and move drifts had blocked the mouth of the canyon and for four days Silver Buck was snowed in with the actors and other horses of the outfit. He maintained his horse sense of humour in spite of the cold weather and after tossing Buck into a snow drift stood and laughed at him until Buck was on his feet. Then Silver Buck dug into the snowbank with his nose and covered Buck. His performance in “Hills of Peril,” to be screened at Marton tonight is a revelation of equine intelligence.
