A well-equipped expedition will shortly be leaving to explore Arnhoim’s Land, the little known portion of Northern Australia adjacent to the Gulf of Carpentaria. The object is to ascertain its possibilities for agricultural purposes, its mineral resources, and to search for oil. SOLDIER’S LOST MEMORY A TARANAKI MAN. (A. & N.Z.) SYDNEY, Afarch 26. The unknown soldier in the mental hospital here has been identified as AlcQuay, of Taranaki, New Zealand. WIRELESS TELEPHONY PARIS-NEW YORK SERVICE. (A. & N.Z.) PARIS, Marell 26. Wireless telephony between Paris and New York is being inaugurated on Wednesday. TOTE FOR LONGCHAMPS SPECIAL MEETING FOR TESTING PURPOSES. (A. & N.Z.) PARIS, Afarch 26. The installation of the Australian totalisator at Longchamps has been completed, and a special meeting is being held on Wednesday for test purposes. ■
