ARSENICISED CUCUMBERS SOVIET TERRORISM (Sun Cable) LONDON, March 26. The Daily Alail’s Warsaw correspondent states that Vilna reports a mysterious attempt *o poison the population of Alinsk by selling 300 casks of arsenicised pickled cucumbers, resulting in hundreds of victims in one <iay.
The authorities, through the cinemas, theatres and restaurants notified! the public to eschew cucumbers and arrested Kozdan, the seller of several casks, and compelled him to eat one of his own cucumbers, making him seriously ill. The affair is reported to be a terroristic act by the Soviet on the pretext of further wholesale arrests in White Russia.
