SMOKE CONCERT

PIRATE ATHLETIC CLUB PRESENTATION OF PRIZES. Ou Saturday evening the Pirate Amateur Athletic Chib held its second annual smoke concert and presentation of prizes.

Mr R. Stevenson presided over a good, attendance of club members. Toasts were proposed by Messrs R. Stevenson and G. Campbell, Mr George Benson replying.

On behalf of the club Mr A. Afonagatti made a presentation to Mr D. Adamson on his departure from this country.

The following were presented with trophies:—Campbell Cup. A- Alonagatti; Mr J. Moye’s trophy, A. Alonagatti; Mr T. J. Vangioni’s trophy, A. A. Monagatti; Hurdling Championship Cup, C. Spriggens; Vangioni Cup, B. Soloman; Mr Helean’s trophy. R. Soloman; Dustin Cup, D. Adamson; Junior Cycling Cup, G. Kenny; cycling points prize for the season, J. Harper.

Certificates were issued to the following as prize-winners for running events; A- Monagatti, C. Spriggens, B. Soloman, A H. Johnson, A. Sexton, D. Sexton, D. MeGonagle, J. Weir and JL Soloman

Certificates for cycling events were pi esented to D. Adamson, G. Kennv, J. Alp, J. Harper, A. Olsen and G. Powell. A very pleasant evening- wan brought to a close by the singing of “Auld Lang Syne”
