FIFTEEN THOUSAND
SYDNEY’S UNEMPLOYED BAD SEASON AND RESTRICTIVE LEGISLATION. SYDNEY, Nov. 22. Official figures disclose that the unemployed row total 15,000. This is generally considered to be due to a large extent to the restrictive legislation of the Labour Government and the bad season, which has thrown a large number of men out of work in country districts. Many of these came to the city only to find conditions no better than in the rural districts.
