“THE NAUGHTY WIFE”
A BRILLIANT COMED'. Another good audience filled rhe Opera House last evening, when the Wanganui Amateur Musical and Dramatic Society gave its second presentation of that brilliant and piquant comedy, “The Naughty Wife.” Wanganui Amateur players have justly won the regard of enthustiasts in other centres, and this comedy, with its • difficult situations and scope for clever acting, tests them and does not find them wanting. As on the previous night, the principals were fully equal co all demands made upon them and the performaices of Mrs D. J. Beard, Mrs T. L. Sperring and Messrs Bridgman and Stewart were outstanding. The same remark applies to those who filled the minor parts, among whom Mrs Stewart, as the maid, should be mentioned. The comedv will be repeated to-night and to-morrow night.
