DOG TRIALS IN PROGRESS KEEN COMPETITION Keen competition is being displayed at the Mangamahu Dog Trials, which will conclude to-day. In every way the fixture is proving a great success, the work of the dogs being excellent. The catering arrangements in the hands of the ladies of the district arc very creditable. Results are as follow: Novice event, class A; head anJ hold, possible 48: Afr Arthur Collins' Rose 43 1, Mr L. Parkinson’s Starlight 414 2, Afr George Collins’ Gyp 38 3. Eighteen entries. Class .1; open, long head, pull and hold in ring, 50 points: Afr King’s Rob Roy 46| 1, Air F. King’s Mac, 46 2, Afr M. Scott's Scottie 45J 3, Mr A. Campbell’s Don 42 4. Twenty-six entries. Class II; open, short, head, pull, drive through set hurdles and yard. 60 points: Afr H. Harris’ Brigadier Bill 1. The huntaway, with 36 entries, is at present being decided.
