BUSH FIRES
THE WORST IN HISTORY ENORMOUS DAMAGE IN VICTORIA MELBOURNE, Feb. 14. The grave danger threatening a number of towns from bush fires was averted over the week-end mainly through a change of the wind, but the position in many centres is still obscure owing to the interruption of communications, but it is known that the damage has been enormous. Many districts are experiencing the worst fires in their history.
