FREIGHTER’S SKIPPER SURPRISED PORT OF WANGANUI DECRIED The experience of Captain M. G. Symons, of the Trebartha, which arrived at Wanganui on Friday, tends to confirm suspicions that in main ports such as Auckland and Wellington interests prejudicial to the welfare of the port of Wanganui are active. Captain Symons told a “Chronicle” representative yesterday that he had been led to expect difficult conditions at Wanganui.
