I Mr and Mrs J. Coates, who have been revisiting Wanganui, rc’urned to Wellington on Saturday. Mr and Airs S. Averill, of Hastings, are visitors to Wanganui, and arc staying at Fester’s Hotel. SoGler, who will take over the de- ■ parting engineer's duties until a fresh ; appointment is made, presented Mr and : Airs Lye with a handsomely upholstered chair, and Afr Lye with a smoker’s : outfit. Various members of the staff : spoke in glowing terms of Air Lye's ; ability, and all present wished the departing couple the very best of good , fortune in the future.
