It rejects protection subsidies rm I proposes: (1) Preparation of a scheme on sound commercial basis for short term credits for land improvements and purchase; (2) the development of small holdings; (3) a continuation of afforestation; (4) the expenditure of £1,000,000 spread over five years in aid of drainage schemes; (5) the continuance of agricultural research education; (6) the continued fostering of sugar beet growing.
