BULLS.

“IN THE PALACE OF THE KING.” TO-NIGHT AT TOWN HALL. (From the “Chronicle’s” Special Correspondent). A thousand dollar scene is incorporated in the period spectacle of Spain in the sixteenth century, “In the Palace of the King,” which comes to the Bulls Town Hall to-night. The scene is a “shot” of an encampment of Don John, who has led a Spanish army against the Moors in Granada. The scene was taken at Talquisht Fails, in the mountains near Palm Springs, California. The story, “In the Palace of the King,” called for a scene with a waterfall in the background. Since the entire incident of Don John’s conquest of Granada is taken from history, the studios sought a spot which would fit the description of the author of the story, F. Marion Crawford. Tahquisht Falls, it was found, is almost identical with Crawford’s description, so Emmett Flynn, the director, took his company, headed by Blanch'' Sweet and Edmund Lowe, on a 300 mile trip to record the scena.
