REBELLIOUS TO THE LAST.
AN IRISH DIE-HARD. MICHAEL CAROLAN GUILTY OF TREASON. LONDON, Oct. 28. The self-styled “ Commandant-Gen-ert.l of the Republican Army and director of intelligence attached to general headquarters,” Michael Carolan, was found guilty in Dublin under the Treasonable Offences Act, of participating in the formation and organisation of a body purporting to be a military force which was not established and maintained by law. A detective said that he found accused in a room entered by means of a trap-door. Ho also found a number of documents headed ” Headquarters 1.R.A.” Sentence was postponed.
