DAMASCUS ABANDONED
DISQUIETING NEWS FROM SYRIA. PARIS, Oct. 27. Le Matin states that latest telegrams from Syria are disquieting. Damascus, where order is far from reestablished, has been abandoned by the population. The Druses who submitted have now broken faith. The situation is not critical, but is sufficiently serious to demand urgent measures on the part of the Government.
