FETE OF NATIONS BAZAAR
TO BE OPENED THIS AFTERNOON. Gay and festive scenes will be witnessed in the Drill Hall to-day, when the above bazaar will bo opened at 2.30 by the Mayor and Mayoress, Mr and Mrs Hope Gibbons. Though the official opening will be at 2.30, dainty luncheons (price Is 6d) will be served from 12 o’clock.
Special features are the stall decorations and the entertainments, which include dancing displays by Miss Swann’s pupils, half hour concerts by the Collegiate School Choral Society (by kind permission of Rev. C. F. Pierce, headmaster), and a cinema show.
At least everyone will come and have lunch, tea or supper, and look round. Menfolk will find a jolly smoke-room. No one will be pestered to buy, and there will be no raffles to worry one.
