BULLS.

“CAPTAIN BLOOD” AT BULLS TOWN HALL WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28. (From the “Chronicle’s” Special Correspondent.) J. Warren Kerrigan as “Peter Blood” will make his appearance at the Bulls Town Hall on Wednesday evening, October 28. The greatest picture of romance and adventure is the new Vitagraph film of “Captain Blood,” Rafael Sabatini 's famous novel of the Spanish Main. The stirring story of how Dr. Blood incurs the anger of King James by tending a wounded man who was one of Monmouth’s supporters in the rising against the King, is sent to Barbadoes as a slave, and becomes one of the most famous baccancers of the Spanish Main, makes a splendid film drama. Captain Blood’s physical daring, his swagger, and his romantic generosity render him the ideal screen hero, and he is played admirably by J. Warren Kerrigan. Sea fights, duels, the rescue of damsels in distress and many thrills go to make up the picture, and the sea effects are remarkable. A fleet of seventeenth-century battleships was specially built—and destroyed—■ for the picture, and it contains the largest single explosion ever screened. The producer used 4,5001 b of dynamite, and the resultant explosion is shown in colours on the screen. BULLS FLOWER SHOW The Bulls flower show will be held in the Bulls Town Hall on Wednesday, December 2. A valuable challenge cup has been presented for the most points in roses.
