BELMONT MIDDLE-WEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP The final of this event, played on Tuesday, resulted in McNiven beating Bcrnau at the nineteenth hole. In the'fourth round of the club championship, Dr. Earle beat J. Harold, 3 up and 2. SEAFIELD TOURNAMENT The Seafield tournament opened on Saturday. The beautiful weather which prevailed early in the morning was followed about 8 o’clock by heavy rain. The links were in splendid order, aud in spite of the greens being a bit heavy after the showers, some good rounds were played.

In the morning J. C. Bidwill topped the list with 76—two strokes under bogey. J. Goss did the morning round in 82, L. Seifert 85, and J. Harold 9>.

The first medal match was won by L. Cathro, 85, less 12—73; W. Lints, a first year player, was second with a gross 92, less 18—74. The second medal resulted: R. Ellerm 73, B. McNiven 73, R. Smart 74. In the play-off between Ellerm and McNiven for first place, Ellerm did a 78 against McNiven s 87.

J. C. Bidwill won the trophy for the best gross score of the two qualifying rounds, 76 and 89—165.
