GOOD PRICES TOR STORE SHEEP. DAIRY CATTLE SELL WELL. [Per Press Association.] FEILDING, Oct. 23. At Feilding stock sale very few fat sheep were yarded. They sold on a par with late rates. A small yarding of store sheep was keenly competed for and realised good prices. A line of 600 forward shorn hoggets sold at 28s Id to 28s 4d. Two small pens of extra good woolly hoggets made 37s 4d to 37s fid. There was a poor entry of fat cattle, the quality of which was much inferior to late yardings. The majority of pens were passed in. There was a fair entry of store cattle, comprising females and two and three-yoar steers. Bidding whs keen, but in many cases did not reach vendors’ reserves. For a small yarding of dairy cattle there was a good sale. Prices were distinctly higher than formerly. A line of two-year P.A. bulls met with keen competition, the cheapest bull sold being the first pick from the pen. Following was the order selected:—£l-8 15s, £2l 15s, £22 ss, £22 10s, £2O 15s. A number of Jersey bulls were also offered and met with very fair demand, pedigree yearlings making £l3 13s to £l5 15s and others £8 Ss to £lO 10s. Fat woolly hoggets, 34s Bd, 35s fid, 37s sd; light shorn ewes, 28s 9d; fat wethers, 475; m.s. woolly hoggets, 26s 6d, 28s Id, 30s Id; woolly wether hoggets, 27s 3d, 33s 7d, 345; forward ewes in wool, 27s 9d, 32s 6d. Light fAt cows sold at £8 7s 6d; good fat S.R. heifers, £ll 7s Rd; heavy fat Holstein cows, £l2 10s; two-year fat Hereford heifers, £7 18s; two-year P.A. steers, £7 9s. 6d; ditto Hereford were passed at £6 17s 6d and £7 6s; three-ydar P.A. steers, £8 7s fid. i ————-
