RAETIHI NOTES
(From Our Own Correspondent). The Raetihi Borough Council, in consequence of the great demapd for electricity, contemplates in the near future making considerable alterations to the electrical plant. At the last regular meeting of the council it was resolved that Mr H. R. Clime, consulting engineer, be invited to come to Raetihi and confer with the engineer. Mr Clime arrived in Raetihi on Monday, and on Tuesday, in company with the bofough engineer and members of the Electric Light Committee, visited the power house for the purpose of viewing the works, which were erected in 1917 under his supervision, but which have since been added to. Mr Clime afterwards met the council in committee, and later left for Taranaki, where he is carrying out electrical works. Mr Clime will report later to the council on the proposed scheme of extension. SUCCESSFUL DAIRY COMPANY. The Raetihi Dairy Co. has had a very busy season ’and only closed down last week. This is the longest season worked since the factory came into existence, and goes to prove that the winter in this part of the Waimarino has been an exceptional one for feed. The output this season is expected to be a record, and should be in the vicinity of 160 tons. Further additions have recently been made at the factory, housing the three motor lorries. FOOTBALL.
