METHODIST CONFERENCE RESOLUTIONS. Received May 6, 10.15 p.m. NEW YORK, May 5. The Springfield Methodist Conference is considering a resolution asking the Congress to defeat the fifty-nine ideltical beer bills and strengthen enforcement by placing Prohibition agents under civil service. The resolution aroused little objection, and is regarded as certain of adoption. Further suggestions included the deportation of aliens and the disfranchisement of American citizens who persistently violate Prohibition and narcotic laws.
