NAVAL ARMAMENTS RESTRICTION
Received March 20, 8.55 p.m. WASHINGTON, March 26. Commenting on a Tokio despatch saying that Minister Kokuyechi approved in principle of the American suggestion for further restriction of naval armaments, the State Department declares that no suggestion was made to Japan beyond the House recommendation that a further armament conference be held. The Administration has indicated that it does not consider the time opportune for further elimination.
