DAIRY PRODUCE
Messrs Dalgety and Company Limited report having received the following cablegram from their London House under date of March 20:
“Dairy Produce Market at present shows no sign of improvement and it is not expected matters will improve much until accumulation of stocks is reduced. This accumulation was caused by very heavy shipments from New Zea* land during February and also by the dock strike.”
Butter market very dull. We quote New Zealand salted at 170/- (174/-); New Zealand exceptional brands, 172/(182/-); Danish, 204/- (212/-); finest Australian salted and unsaltcd, 160/(160/-). Cheese market very quiet. Quotation New Zealand cheese 82/- (86/-). (Last week’s quotations arc given in parenthisis).
