RABBITSKIN SALE
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report on the sales held by their Dunedin Office on the 20th inst:—
Owing to the very large quantity of skins received since last sale, we held a special sale to-day. Our catalogue was comprised chiefly of off season qualities, and prices generally were well maintained at last sale’s values. An increased quantity of early Autumns was offered and realised 40d per lb. Prices ruling at our local auction sales are well ahead of London parity, in fact an advance of fully 25 per cent is needed in the London market to bring prices on to a payable level for shippers. The following is the range of prices:— « Runners and suckers, 21d; light racks 33 id; summers, 32d; heavy racks 33d; prime racks 36id; early autumns 40d; summer broken 24d; winter 32d; summer fawns 23$d; winter fawns 50£d; weevilly fawns 20|d; milky fawns 24d; summer blacks 25£d; winter blacks 40d; outgoing does 39£d. Next sale April 8.
