LOCAL GAMES. WANGANUI CLUB. The official closing of the bowling season took place on Saturday afternoon. The green was in excellent condition, and the visitors congratulated the club on the play of the green. Occasion was taken during the afternoon to farewell Messrs Nesbit Smith and N. W. Nelson, who are leaving Wanganui on transfer to New Plymouth and Dunedin respectively. Speeches eulogistic of the good qualities of tli#> departing members were made, and loth were presented with bowling bags, suitably inscribed. The W.anganli Pipe Band was in attendance and considerably enlivened the proceedings with their selections
