SOLDIERS’ LOAN.

£6,000,000. LOCAL HALLY. The Borough Council has arranged to hold a “Local Rally” next Wednesday at the General Post Office. Tile first “Rally” will be 'held at mid-day, ietween 12 and 1 o’clock, and the second Rally in the evening bewie-1 7 and 8 at the same place. Prominent speakers will clearly place before the citi/eas and public generally the duty of all to subscrilie to the “Sodiers’ War Loan.” The Government has issued the prospectus for a loan of £6,000,000, the whole of which will be applied for the purpose of t’he repatriation of our returned men. Too much emphasis cannot he laid on the necessity of the imiqedui.e flotation of this loan. Arranged: 3 uts are being made for the Garrison Band and the Queen Alexandra Band to be in attendance at the rally and every effort is being made by the Borough Council to represent to the burgesses the wishes of the Primo Minister and tile Government in the matter.
