COUNTY COUNCILS.
NOMINATION OF MEMBERS! * Yesterday nominations were received for the various county councils. WAITOTARA COUNCIL. . The following members have been Returned unopposed: YVestmere- Riding, Crs. R. Farley and G. Russell; Brunswick, Crs. C. Smith and DRoss; Tokomaru, Crs. J. H. Burnet and L. T. Jones. An election for three councillors in Waitotara Riding will be held, the candidates being Messrs W. A. Collins, S. G. Handley, W- Morrison, and C. G. Russell. The last three named are the sittirg councillors. WANGANUI COUNCIL. The following councillors have been returned unopposed: Kaitoke, Cr. D. Mackintosh; Morikau, Cr. G. McGregor; Kaukatea, Cr. A. D. Mackintosh; Upper Wangaehu, Cr. J. D. Kennedy; Mangamahu, Cr. A. H. Collins and T. H. Hine. No nomination was received in time for the Fordell Riding, a nomination by Cr. D. McGregor coming to hand too late. Fresh nominations will now be called. An election for three councillors in Mangawhero Riding will be held, the candidates being Messrs E. H. Whiteman. W. E. Broderick, D. Ross, H. Hamilton, E. E. Fletcher, F. HAllen, Allan Robinson, R. Neilson. The last three named are the sitting councillors. HOSPITAL BOARD. The following have been returned unopposed:— i Waitotara County: Mr W. Ritchie. YY’anganui County: Mr E. E. Fletcher.
