BRITISH DELEGATION AT HALIFAX. Received July 29, 9.20 p.m. OTTAWA, July 28. The Imperial Press Conference delegation from Britain arrived atHalifax. DELEGATES WELCOMED AT HALIFAX. Received July 29, 11.50 p.m. HALIFAX (Novia Scotia) July 28. Mr McCallum Grant, Governor of Nova Scotia, welcomed the meptbers of the Imperial Press Conference in the historic Legislative Chamber. Lord Burnham replied, saying that the delegates were not in Canada for propaganda, but to see Canada for themselves. “We have come to recognise that not only is Canada thinking and speaking to-day ahead of Europe, but ahead «f herself. It is because -we believe the country will continue to think and speak ahead of herself that we are so glad to be here to-day.” Mr Klrwan replied for the Dominions, saying that the object of the conference was the prosperity of the Empire. Mr W. S. Feilding (the veteran Parliamentarian), Hon. F. B. McCurdy, Federal Minister of Works, Hon. R. E. Finn, Provincial Minister (representing Premier Murray), each welcomed the delegates in three minutes’ speeches.
