THE ROUMANIAN CAMPAIGN

LONDON, August 12. Eussian official.—Following stubborn attacks, the Eoumaniane retired to Okna, along the Nile-Moshorelei Road and westward of Gorozesce.

Superior enemy forces attacked the Fcecani-Merechesci railway. We counterattacked and took 1200 prisoners, but later on retired to the Orechesia-Fur-eeni line.

We captured an enemy position at the mouth of the Bugeo Eiver.

ODESSA, August 12. The enemy operations on the Eoumanian front are rapidly diminishing in intensity owing to heavy losses and desperate resistance of the Eussians, who only fall back unwillingly in obedience to strategic necessity.
