THE FRENCH CAMPAIGN.
* LONDON, August 12. A French communique says:—We completely recovered the elements of the trenches captured by the Germans on the 9th east of Pavet Two enemy attacks south of Allies were repulsed. We hold all the positions and renewed progress during the night time.
LONDON, August 12. French official.—As resprisals for the enemy bombardment of the Nancy region, two French machines bombed Frankfurt-on-Main.
