There was a very enthusiastic meeting held last night at the Borough. Chambers,' Mr. T. Allison presiding. Minutes of previous meeting wjsre read and confirmed.

Inward correspondence was read—a telegram from the Premier regretting inability to send the Amokura. to Wanganui on account of prtevious promise to send the vessel to Kawhio for January Ist. A letter was received from the secretary of the BlenSoim Beautifying Society saying that he was specially coming over to see the Fete with tho view of running a, similar one in Blenheim.

It was proposed to carry out the suggestion of the military committee and donate the amount of prizes for the cadet events to a- Morris tube fund for the cadets. .

Mrs. Adams and Mrs. Kaganski to be judges of the fancy -costumes and grotesque dresses. The secretary to arrange with the owner of the laughing gallery at Auckland to bring a set of mirrors.

Seevral suggestions for side shows, such as quoits, skittle alley, etc., wericv l-eceived and arranged to be run. Mr. Kirkwood's picture was accepted for the Art Union to be conducted .l;y Mrs. Kirkwood with sixpenny tickets.

Misses Kielly and Holmes reported that twenty posters for the poster march had been offered by 'business firms.

The offers of the Garrison -and City Bands to. play was received with applaiise, and it was decidted that the City Band should head the Grand Parade from the Fire Brigade station at H-30< and play on the .ground till 2-30, and tho Garrison to play from 2 till 5 p.m. The Kazoo Band to help both bands. The programme of the Garrison contains 16 very choice selections. The judging of the decoratect carts, lorries, and gigs, also decorated bicycles,-sunshades, gri-cax-ts. etc., to be"judged immediately after tho Grand Parade.

Mrs. Connop has offered to give a fancy dancing exhibition 'by the children. The Maypole dancing was reported by this lady to be going along splendidly. It was decided to have this m front of tho lawn.
