The following youn gladies seem to take precedence of the rest:.

. Miss Eileen Connor, la little girl, appears first on the list. She proves hcirsalf an exceptionally neatt 'worker, and shows a very beautiful white silk centre, also a very pretty centre.in. embroidery. The same young lady comes swell to the front in plain sewing and various kinds of embroidery work. Myrtle Connor shows a pretty (black satin centre and* crash cushion, also very neatly executed designs in embroidery and mount mellick. Miss Grace Browiniie deserves special mention for her -beautiful white linen work and her silk embroidery. Her exhibits in plain (sowing are of a very high order.

Misses C. Griffin, I. Varley, T. Salnnond and K. Delahunty are all responsible for fine exhibits in the way of table centres, silk emibroidery, iplaim sewing, Mount Meilick, drawn thread work. Misses M. Oarn, C. Gellatly, B. Brennan, I. Varley, E. Rhodes, F. McFarlane, all show pretty designs in. embroidery and Mount Mellick work, as well as table centres, etc. One extra feature of the exiMfoition is the dressmaking department. This class lias ibeen in active, work' for the past few months, with a result highly creditable .to teachers and pupils. Miss C. Griffin hotlds first place and Is ctofieIy followed by Misses M., Connor, E. Palmer and M. MoCartin.

Amongst the juniors those whose work seems ,-fco ibe of -special ■merit are: Miss GreteheiiSwan, M. Callaghan, A. Richardson, M. Rhodes, G. Cullinane, L. Steward, B. Stewart, M. Cam, V. X-eylon, M. McCarthy, G. Neykm. Though perhaps the display "this year is not so numerous as that of previous exhibitions, what it lacks in quantity is fully made np <by the excellent quality of the exhibits. The display of work occupies two SPipa.ra.te rooms, and makes a very fine sight indeed, and shows that the pupife have taken full advamtiaige of the instruction imparted to them in the various branches. The pupils and instructresses have 'been labouring under difficulties, insofar as the removing to their now homo on St. John's Hill is concerned. One of the outstanding, features- of this annual exhibiton ns undoubtedly the many fine paintings which lare displayed, some of tho work in oils being of ia very hieh class. The needlework shown also reflects tho greatest credit on the exhibitors, and is fully equal to previous exhibits. Taken all Tound, the exhibit is a really fine one, and surpasses anything yet seen at previous displays, a tfaot which is a matter for ooneratulation to all concerned. The exhibition should attract a large number of visitors to-diay.
