HAWKE CUP MATCH
WANGANUI v. SOUTH TARANAKI
The first rep. match of the season will be played on Cook's Gardens on Wednesday and Thursday next between Wanganui ~and South Taranaki. This match will be the first in the series for the Hawke Cup, for which it is considered Wanganui has a very good chance.'
The final selection of the local team was''made on Saturday evening, and is as follows:—Orton, Howard, Furrie (Wanganui-B.), Holland (Wanganui A:), Til yard, Bathgate, Burrett, Murchie (St. Paul's), Salmond, Bernau (College A.)', and Buterworth (College B.). Em4rJ^ncy bowlier, Troni'on (Wangapiui B.); emergency batsman, Tracy ('Wanganui A.).
Hodges and Latham were not 'available.
