BBISBANE, Decemben 14. Tho attendance'at the tennis tournament was large. A heavy storm interfered with play shortly after the commencement. Batten played' well in the singles, otherwise Queensland's display was poor.* Parke and Eowe beat St. John and 'McLean 6-4, 6-2. Parke bea* St. John/ 6-1 6-1. Dixon and Bearish beat Ratten and Exton 6-2, .6-4. Beamish beat Ratten 8-6, 6-1.

Members of the local tenn,is clubs are reminded that entries for the_ Ma.rton tournament close next Thursday, 19th. The tournament wilf be held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the 26th, 27th, and 28th. Entry forms can be obtained from the secretaries of local clubs, or from H. I. Jones and Son's.
