■■- The B.s on. the-first Jay had run up | 268, and 'when" stumps Avere drawn the I.A's had lost one wicket for 12 runs. Rev. Reeve and Fa'ber continued the innings (Blampied being absent), and forty runs had been added before the ■ former retired after a nice innings for j 28. Faber and Tracy 'became associated and carried the score to 79, when Faber was bowled, -He had contributed a. capital 35. With Holland and Tracy [together another fine partnership ensued, both batsmen beinc vigorous and keeping the fieldsmen moving. With the score at 155, Tracy put one into cover's hands for 41. With the exception of Brook, the remaining batsmen did little, the innings closing for 224. Holland's score $as 72, including a trio of sixes. Wanganui Br went to the wickets again, "and lost one wicket for 85. Orton baited finely for 50 not out, the last ball being sent over the fence, and after some minutes had been spent in a vain effort to locate the leather, it was decided to draw stumps.
