CRICKET.

SATURDAY'S GAMES

END OF FIRST ROUND

Cricketers were again favoured with fine weather on Saturday afternoon last for the resumption of Cup fixtures, when the firs£ round in tne senior competition was completed. The wickets were in fair order, and the outfield faster than usual. Chief interest was centred round the- College B. —St. Paul's match, which resulted in a two point win for the former team after a game which, at the end of the first day's play, was a, very open one. A rather close game was provided by the Wanganui A. and B. teams, the B.s eventually winning by a small margin on the first innings. Aramoho's promising start against College A. proved to be only a spasm, College winning easily. The end of the first round leaves College A. in the lead, with College B. runners-up. Details of the ganies are appended.
