NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP
SWIMMING MEETING
Tho swimming championships for the season 1912-13 have been allocated by the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association to the Wanganui Centre. Tho <>a,nganui Centre., at their meeting last night, decided to held the championship meeting from the 3rd to the 10th February, 1912. As an additional attraction, tho annual bridge-to-bridge handicap will be swum during the meeting, probably on Saturday, the Bth February. A large number of swimmers from Christchurch, Wellington, Hawke'o Bay, Auckland and elsewhere aro expected to attend. A contingent of forty enthusiasts from Christchurch has already applied for hotel accommodation.
The following are the ofiicers of the Wanganui centre for tho forthcoming season: President, Mr F. K. Turnbull; vice-president, Mr D. McFarlane; vicepresident of N.Z. Council, Mr H. M. i'ayno; representative on Council, Mr N. Gouisbury. Locai Consul, Mr It. F. Johnstone.
