COMPULSORY MILITARY TRAINING

AUCKLAND, July 2. At the annual meeting of the Peace Society to-night, the following resolutions were carried -.—That this-meeting enters a strong protest against'the tmnecessary agitation going on in New Zealand for increase; in military and naval expenditure, and pledges itself to support a conscience clause in any Bill that may be brought forward diiring the next session of Parliament in favour of compulsory military training.
