Major Seoly (Secretary of State for the Colonies), speaking at Hucknall Forkard, said New Zealand's splendid generosity was unparalleled in the history of the Australian States. Other Colonies were following the Dominion's example, thus showing an eagerness to assist thp. Motherland if nccessarv.
