The" result of; the-fifth:and- final Morris tube competition; fired on Saturday last, is as follows: —Sergt; Ransom, Sergt. Hasse, Vol. Allen, Vol. Watts, Corpl. Cooper, Vol. R. Kench, and Corpl. Cole 25, Corpl Huwyler and'Col.-Sergt. Carmody 24, L.-Cdrpl. Webb and Vol. Cameron 23, Sergt. James and Vol. Brider 22, Vol. Mitchell and Bugler Boyd 21, Bugler Pettigrew and Vol. S. Kench 20, remainder failed to iiriak©' 20. Sergts. Ransom and Haase were the pri»e winnei'6.

The Company trophy has to bo won outright' by the coibpefitor gaining highest aggregates in the best three out of five competitions. The shooting throughout was very good, some fine individual scores being registered. Sgt. Ransom, Vol. Watts, and Col.-Sergfc Oarmody tied with a possible score of 75, but in the count back the former won. The following are the leading aggregates :—
