OPERA HOUSE.
TECHNICAL SCHOOL CONCERT
The promoters of the Technical School concert to be held in the Opera House on Monday evening next have been extremely fortunate'in their selection of contributors. As has been stated before, the Garrison Band "will give two selections, "Heroic" and "In Old Kentucky." The former is a test, piece which was to have been played at the Ballarat Contest, while the latter is a delightful specimen of the catchy Am-, erican music which now forms so large a part in the programmes submitted by bands the world over. It is an excellent selection, and, played by ■ New Zealand's champion band, it will ■-•be heard under the most auspicious condir tiohs. The other items on the programme are of a high standard. We may say that two gentlemen, who are undoubtedly -clever entertainers, are. taking part. Tickets may be procured at tho Wellington Piano Company's shop in Ridgway Street. The box plan. is on view daily at Messrs. H. I. Jones and Son's, while it may be seen each: evening at tha Technical School. ,
