Wheat—There is keen demand, especially for prime milling, and some high ■prices have been given for choice lots. Fowl wheat has commanded much attention, owing to demand from Australia. Prime milling velvet, at 4s 8d to 4a 9d, medium 4s to 4s 3d, fowl wheat 3s 6d to 3s lid, damaged 3s to 3s 4d, sacks extra. Oats —The demand from Australia has not been good, and business has been limited. Everything coming forward finds a purchaser. Prime milling 2s 8d to 2s 9d, best feed 2s 7d to 2s Bd, edium to good 2s 4d to 2s 6d, inferior, 2s to 2s 6d, sacks extra.
Flour—Millera quote roller, £11; pollard £7; bran, £7. Oatmeal, £14 to ,£ls. Potatoes*—Dewents (nominal), £4 at country stations. Oatsheaf Chaff, £4 5s at country stations. Seed—RyeKi'as*s, farmers' lines, 3s 3d to 3s sd; for town machine-dressed, 4s 6d. Cow-grass (dressed seerl local 8d; Califomian dressed 64d. White clover, farmers' lines, 9d to lOd. Italian rye-grass (town dressed), 4s 6d. Dairy Produce—Cheese, dairy, 4d to 4£d: factory, 4W to sd. Butter—Fresh, local factory, ll^d ; best dairy 8d to 9d. salt (in boxes), 7d to 9d ; North Island, lid f.o.b. Hams and bacon, 7^d to B|d, factory id higher, all cases f.o.b.
