LAST WEEK'S QUOTATIONS
AUCKLAND.
Business houses report a dull week. The potato market is bare, owing to the Sydney demand. Southern, £7 per ton; local, new kidneys, £12, and shipments have been made to Sydney. Victorian onions arrived, and are quoted at 14s pea* cwt. The new Sydney cro>p is coming in. Wheat is very firm at 5s per bushel; fowl wheatis scarce and ear. Bran and sharps are very scarce. The local mills are asking £7 net. Maize is firm at 4s, although there is no export to Sydney. Oats are unchanged. Flour is extremely firm, at aai advance of 15s per ton. to £12 10s. Wheatmeal has" similarly advanced. Butter is plentiful. Eggs are becoming scarce, and have advanced Id to 8d per dozen.
