"SHALL WE FORGIVE HER?"

On the opening night of the return season of the Stanford Dramatic Company, the comedy drama. "Shall we Forgive Her '!" .will be staged. Quickly following on the London production this celebrated comedy drama was first produced at the Theatre Royal, Sydney, in April, 1897, when it achieved a distinct success. ■ Shortly afterwards Mr Charles Holloway staged it at the Theatre Royal, .Melbourne, and on finding how greatly public interest was aroused played it for a second time in Sydney, where it ran for five weeks. Speaking of "its first production in Wellington by the Stanford Dramatic Company the New Zealand Times of February 23rd says: — "After a successsion of melo-drama the production of Frank Haivey's celebrated play; 'Shall We Forgive Her?' came as a refreshing change. 'Shall We Forgive Her?' is a powerful piece, and nearly every figure in it is marked by some peculiarity notable enough to create%vhat is known in theatrical language as'a. character part.
