Messrs Williams and Harper report a most successful sale of stock," farm implements and produce at- Mr J. Biennau's "Avondale Farm," Maxwelltown, last Thursday. Despite the threatening aspect of rbe weather, there was a large attendance, and tho bidding was brisk throughout. Twotooth ewe-s ninde 13s, 2-tooth wethers 12s 4d, lambs 9s, old ewes 8s 4d. rising 4-year bullocks £5 2s, 18-months heifers £3 'lis, 18-montbs steers £3 4s, breeding cows J33 17s, weaners 255, milking cows £6 Is, draught horses up to £27, draught foal £18 10s.
