At the annual meeting ''of the Dunedin i Tram ways Company, the Chiirmaii, (Mr , George _ enwick) said that if the corporation only acted in a spirit of liberality in regard lo the term with the New Zealand Electric Light and Traction Company, for the sale ol the company's concession, the negotiations at present proceeding ior the substitution of mechanical poivcr for the present mode of traction would terminate satisfactorily. A prisoner named Willi.im Kennedy, for mutinous conduct at the Tiiaroa Head.; prison works, was sentenced to six mouths hard labour. _— — — — — — ____M __—
