The Trados 1 Delegates .Conference today passed a resolution condemnatory of tendering and in favour of the establishment of national tailoring workshops! also recommnnding that uniforms of Volunteers, railway servants, and Govoininonfc officials be made at such establishments. Resolutions were also passod in favour of restricting the influx of Chinese, coloured, and alien labour under contract. March 28. At the Trades' Conference to-day the Shearers' Accommodation Bill, Inspection of Buildings Appliances Bill, and Labour Department Bill were considered. On Clause G of the first-named bill a resolution was passed, " That the attention of she Minister of Labour be drawn to tho necessity of conditions being framed fer the guidance of the inspector ie sleoping accommodation and tho number of cubic feet to be provided for each shearer." In the last-named Acts tho clause relating to the rocovory ef ponaltios was taken exception to, but tho bills wero agreed to otherwise, with trifling amendments. Resolutions were passed re gum diggors asking the Govornment to provide work for them in making roads through the best Crown lands in the north, and that facilities be given to gun} diggers to settle on them ; further, to limit and conserve tho output of gum, the Governniont to enact that diggers should tako out diggers' rights and bo 6ix months resident in the colony. Tho Glniirniau of tho Clui'tibor of Commorco ha 3 invited cho Trade Delegates to take a water excursion tomorrow, and the invitation has been accepted.
