March 7. THE RECENT RAINS. The late rains, which have greatly improved the country, have caused a fresh in the river. THE NATIVE MEETING. The Kingites are now able to get down their produce, and have purchased supplies for the meeting between the Government and Tawhaio, who is reported ill from exposure in cleaning the road between Kawhia and Hikurangi. The road is not yet finished, consequently fish, etc., have not yet been brought over.
