AUCKLAND.
March 7. GOLDIE'S AFTER ELECTION SPEECH. At the declaration of the poll for City West to-day, Mr Goldie, in thanking the electors, said the feeling was strong on the Education question all over New Zealand. He had received telegrams from various parts of both Islands congratulating him on his success. He said he would be no party to having the Bible read in schools. Mr Dignan said he did not consider himself beaten. He thought that on another occasion the result would not be the same.
